Privacy Policy – Savvyra

Savvyra (“we”, “us”) makes an expense tracking app for iPhone and Android. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use the Savvyra app and this website, and the choices you have. In short: we collect what is needed to run the app, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time.

Data we collect

Account data. Your email address, or the identifier that Apple or Google gives us when you sign in with them. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only receive Apple’s relay address.

Profile and preferences. Your home currency, the goals you choose during onboarding, language, time zone and app settings.

Expenses and budgets. The entries you create: amount, currency, category, merchant, date, notes and attached photos, plus your categories and budgets.

Receipt images. Photos and screenshots you scan. They are stored in private cloud storage and are only accessible to your account.

Voice and text entries. When you use voice entry, speech is converted to text by your phone’s speech recognition. The text is sent to our servers to create expense drafts. We do not store the text itself; the resulting drafts are kept in encrypted form for up to 24 hours so a retried request returns the same result, and are then deleted.

Device data. Device name, platform and app version, used to show your signed-in devices and keep your sessions secure.

Purchases. If you subscribe to Savvyra Pro, Apple or Google tell us your subscription status, product and renewal dates. We never receive your card details.

Diagnostics. Crash reports and error logs, configured not to include request contents or personal information, and aggregated product usage events that help us improve the app.

How we use AI

To read receipts and to understand voice or text entries, we send the receipt image or the text to an AI model provider that processes it on our behalf and returns structured details (amount, merchant, date, category). Providers are not allowed to use this data to train their models or for any other purpose. For troubleshooting, we keep a record of each AI request for 30 days: which model was used, how long it took and, for receipts only, the extracted details. We do not keep the prompt, the image or your text in these records.

You always review AI results before they are saved.

Why we process data

To provide the app: sync your expenses across devices, scan receipts, calculate budgets and convert currencies (performance of our contract with you).
To process subscriptions and enforce plan limits (contract).
To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems (legitimate interests).
To meet legal obligations, such as tax records for purchases (legal obligation).

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell or rent it.

Who processes data

We use service providers that process data only on our instructions: cloud hosting and storage, email delivery for sign-in codes, AI model providers for receipt and text recognition, crash reporting, and Apple and Google for sign-in and payments. Data may be processed outside your country; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

Account, expenses, budgets and receipt images: until you delete them or delete your account.
AI request records: 30 days.
Voice and text drafts: up to 24 hours.
After you request account deletion, everything is permanently erased after 5 days, as described on the account deletion page. Where the law requires us to keep a record (for example of a purchase), we keep only the minimum, de-identified information.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Sign-in uses one-time codes or Apple and Google sign-in, so there is no Savvyra password to steal. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. You can edit or delete most data directly in the app, export it with Savvyra Pro, and delete your account in Settings. For anything else, email support@savvyra.ai. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Savvyra is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area and the UK, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we make material changes, we will update the date above and notify you in the app before they take effect.
