Track spending in multiple currencies
Record each expense in the currency you actually paid. Savvyra converts it to your home currency using that day’s exchange rate, and keeps both amounts.
Add an expense in another currency
- Start a new expense.
- Tap the currency next to the amount and choose the one you paid in.
- Enter the amount and save.
Receipt scanning and voice or text entry detect the currency automatically when it is clear, for example “€12” or “3000 yen”.
How conversion works
- Savvyra stores the original amount and currency.
- It also stores the converted amount in your home currency and the exchange rate used, based on the expense date.
- Totals and budgets use the converted amount, so everything adds up in one currency.
Because the rate is saved with each expense, your history does not change when exchange rates move.
Precision
Currencies have different numbers of decimal places: the Japanese yen has none and the Kuwaiti dinar has three. Savvyra stores every amount in the currency’s smallest unit, so there are no rounding surprises.
Your home currency
Your home currency is chosen during setup and cannot be changed in version 1.0. If you move countries, you can keep logging in the new local currency; Savvyra will convert it.
Questions
Which exchange rate does Savvyra use?
The rate for the date of the expense, saved with the expense. Later rate changes do not alter expenses you already recorded.
Can I log expenses offline in another currency?
Yes. Savvyra estimates the converted amount from the most recent rates on your device and updates it when it syncs.
Which currencies are supported?
More than 30 major currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, KRW, CAD, AUD, SGD and HKD.
